It takes pride in the fact that it is among the many schools around the world that become a center for Cambridge examinations.  This status puts FIS in the global market, hence, making it highly competitive in providing quality education and producing lifelong learners.

CAMBRIDGE CURRICULUM

One of the key features that sets FIS apart from the many established schools in the Philippines is its international curriculum known as CAMBRIDGE. At a closer look, it is a curriculum designed for all types of learners and is broken down into 4 stages namely; Primary, Lower Secondary (Checkpoint), Upper Secondary (IGCSE), Advanced Subsidiary (AS) and Advanced Level (A) respectively. When successful, these qualifications are the students’ passport to top universities worldwide. As such also entitles the successful examinee an entry to renowned local universities.

  1. CAMBRIDGE SECONDARY 1

Fresh from the strong foundation provided in the Primary education, CS1 is designed to enhance student’s skills and knowledge learnt and acquired from its core subjects, ENGLISH, MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE.  This stage is crucial to students’ holistic development, as they will be prepared and trained to tackle more challenging tasks that are not only academically inclined but also value-oriented. This process continues as the student advances to the next level.

  1. CAMBRIDGE IGCSE

At the end of the students’ journey in the Lower Secondary, they embark into this stage called International General Certificate for Secondary Education (IGCSE). This stage is synonymous to flexibility because IGCSE is structured to stimulate students’ capacity to learn, understand and be receptive to change. It builds on their ability to eventually solve life’s inevitable circumstances with a positive outlook. Academically, Cambridge IGCSE aims to develop every learner’s skills and knowledge in varying fields and disciplines.

  1. CAMBRIDGE AS and A LEVELS

This stage means serious business. Students are expected to be more independent in their studies and be ready to exercise their decision-making skills as a responsible adult.  After a rigorous journey in their secondary years, it becomes high time for them to plan for their future by being extremely organized in their thoughts and actions. The knowledge and skills acquired in Cambridge Advanced Subsidiary and Advanced Level stages will aid every learner as they enter their chosen university.

FIS believes in the value of patience and hard work. When a student is seen with potentials, the school is always set to train and bring out the best in the student. These potential students are trained by specialized teachers to compete, so they gain local and international exposures. As a result, FIS consistently produces student achievers who excel in competitions such as World Scholar’s Cup and Genius Olympiad.

IN-SCHOOL EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

FIS in its goal to provide every learner with an environment that is bound to set the balance between academics and extra-curricular, numerous clubs are organized. Joining a particular club of interest is always a breath of fresh air. Here students learn to be more resourceful and creative while spending time with their peers and friends.

OUT OF SCHOOL EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

To maximize these learning opportunities that FIS offers, our students are treated to experience and explore the world away from their classrooms and outside the walls of FIS.  Field trips form a significant part of the curriculum and are considered to be among the most fun-filled activities that students get to really enjoy.
