FIS STUDENTS GARNER HONORS PDF Print E-mail

 


FIS grades 3, 4 and 5 students joined the Interim Division of the City of San Juan’s 1st Division Science Fair with a theme : Responding to Global Challenges through Science and Technology on October 27, 2009, which was held in Pinaglabanan Elementary School. The students Jushua Yebes; Grade 3, Kim So Hyun (Trisha); Grade 4 and Matthew Ivar Yan; Grade 5 garnered the first places in their levels in Science quiz bee  in among private schools in San Juan.

 

 

 The event covered different activities which aimed to promote science awareness and to develop critical thinking, teamwork,

sportsmanship and camaraderie among students.

Other students who represented FIS on this quiz bee in Science were: Ahmed Hataman, Justine Yu, Jean Dennis Hipolito,

Anna Smilgielska, Hiro Kobayashi and Todd Kue.

 

On the other note, Dennise Hipolito and Kirsten Kayla Nubla,  two second graders, who became the finalists in the

Writing Contest  sponsored by Lyra  that was held in November 7.

The FIS teachers continuously coach the students to prepare them on any competitions to encourage them that learning

doesn’t end in the classroom rather it  grows and broadens within them. To all the students who already joined, t

he Management says Congratulations and keep the good work, and to those who will soon join the other competitions,
